Dr. Sarah Quraishi — Aerospace Engineer & Innovator
NUST alumna (Mechanical Engineering), Dr. Quraishi earned her PhD in Aerospace Propulsion from Cranfield University. She is co-founder and CEO of Aero Engine Craft, a pioneering company developing eco-friendly aircraft engines. A recipient of the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (2024), her sustainable propulsion technologies promise to revolutionize clean aviation in Pakistan and globally.
Awais Shafique — AI Entrepreneur & Forbes 30 Under 30
Graduating from SEECS in 2016 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Awais co-founded Presize.ai in Munich and was named among Forbes Europe’s 30 Under 30. His company, leveraging AI for garment size prediction, was acquired by Meta, marking a major milestone for a NUST alum in global tech.
Aqsa Ajmal — Assistive Technology Change-Maker
A 2019 graduate of SADA, Aqsa gained recognition as a “Pride of Pakistan” for designing a sewing machine tailored for low-income visually impaired users—an innovation that underscores NUST’s ethos of inclusive and socially responsible engineering.
Aftab Ahmad Khan Lughmani — Military & Technology Leader
An alumnus of CEME, Brigadier (Retired) Lughmani was the first EME officer to lead NUST College of EME and served in the elite Special Services Group. With an MSc in Microwave Engineering, his journey blends technical leadership with institutional service.
Adnan Shahid — Tech Leader & Innovator
Graduating in Electrical Engineering from CEME (circa 1996), Adnan later joined MIT for his MBA. As President of Global Business & Partnerships at A&Z Ideology (Canada), and formerly CIO at Jazz and CEO at TPL Maps, he exemplifies cross-sector leadership anchored in technical acumen.
Dr. Ghina Zia — Global Scholar in Electrical Engineering
Holding a BE from CEME (2013), Dr. Zia earned her PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Kansas State University with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Currently a post-doctoral fellow at Indiana University School of Medicine, her research bridges computational engineering and healthcare technologies.
Muhammad Usman Jhangiri — Startup Founder & Innovator
A 2019 graduate of NUST Business School, he founded Prismware Technologies in 2021—a firm specializing in business intelligence platforms. He stands as a model for tech entrepreneurship springing from NUST’s multidisciplinary roots.

Finding Innovative & Creative Solutions (FICS)
